Ex Cop Faces Porn, Prostitution Charges

A former police chief was jailed early Tuesday for charges ranging from child pornography to prostitution to organized criminal activity.

Michael Meissner has reportedly held 18 law enforcement jobs in the last 17 years, the most recent being the police chief of Little River Academy near Killeen.

He now faces seven charges out of Dallas and Tarrant counties, including allegedly running a porn and prostitution ring out of an Arlington home, trying to lure a minor to his operation by posing as a minor, and attempting to get a child to film a pornographic video.

Meissner has been the focus of two criminal investigations over the last month.

Initially, police in the town of Combine, about 25 miles southeast of Dallas, were investigating Meissner for allegedly taking classified information off a law enforcement database and selling it to a blogger.

Police say Meissner had a vendetta against the department and one of its officers.

In Combine, he is charged with misusing official information, obstruction, and engaging in organized criminal activity.

It was during that investigation that detectives say they developed leads on the porn- and prostitution-related charges.

Officers believe there may be more victims from the operation out of that Arlington home, and want anyone with information to call police.
