There could be a new entry soon on This is Why You're Fat .

The "Craz-E Burger" -- a beef patty, cheese, fried eggs and bacon sandwiched between a glazed donut -- was a big hit at the Big E Fair in Massachusetts last month, selling 1,000 burgers each of the 17 days the fair took place, according to the New York Daily News .

The burger was reportedly popularized in the South by Mulligan's, a bar in Decatur, Ga., that claims to have invented it after they ran out of burger buns. They called it the "Luther burger" after singer Luther Vandross who is said to have been a fan.

The Big E blog said the burger's "taste combination is something quite unique and unexpectedly good considering the odd combination. The glaze is a perfect complement to the bacon and seems to harmonize the other ingredients. The flaky and golden donut is sweeter and more delicious from the hamburger roll you are used to and transforms the bland into the delicious."

But what's the damage to your arteries? The Daily News writes that all the salty, sugary goodness comes in at 1,500 calories a pop.

If you want to make your own Craz-E Burger at home, here is Food Network chef Paula Deen's version, which she calls the Lady's Brunch Burger .
