CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte's East side is getting some attention from lawmakers and decision makers.

Some say the city and the state are not giving out the same information about plans to widen Independence boulevard.

Thursday night, neighbors heard from city leaders, even a state representative.

The big concern is widening Independence and how that will affect neighborhoods and businesses.

The Citizens Advisory Group will look at changes to the Independence boulevard area plan in April.
