ROCK HILL, SC - UPDATE:  On Saturday, officers responded to Robinson Street in reference to the Homicide of Shrece Robinson.

During the course of the investigation Detectives developed Carl White Jr. as a suspect in the case. Detectives determined that White left Rock Hill in a Ford Expedition with his one year old child, and an Amber Alert was issued.

White was located in Aiken County after a trucker observed the vehicle issued in the Amber Alert and followed it until the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office could conduct a traffic stop. Mr. White was taken into custody for DUI and Child Endangerment. His bond hearing on those charges will be held today in Aiken County.

Detectives from the Rock Hill Police Department interviewed White in Aiken County where he confessed to the murder of Shrece Robinson. Rock Hill Police Department has an active warrant for Murder on Carl White Jr. A hold has been placed on Mr. White with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--Rock Hill Police are trying to sort out the details of a fatal shooting and Amber Alert. 

Cops say they found Shrece Robinson dead in the driveway of a home Saturday night. 

Police issued an Amber Alert for her 23-month-old son Zaylen White.  That alert was canceled when police in Aiken, South Carolina located the boy and his father.

The boy's father, Carl White, faces drunk driving and child endangerment charges.  He's not charged in Robinson's death.
