SALISBURY, N.C.--A guilty verdict for a midwife charged with practicing without a license in Rowan County. 

Emily Medwin's attorney is appealing the ruling.  Because of that there is no sentence. 

Medwin has a national certification but it's not recognized in North Carolina.  Supporters are working with lawmakers to change that.
