Call For Extras: New TV Pilot To Be Made In Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, NC-Could Charlotte be the next little Hollywood, bolstered by Wilmington's star power? Some say yes. A new thriller planned for the area, could be proof the economy and the Queen city's star is rising. The call for extras is out, Showtime is getting ready to film the pilot for a new series called "Homeland," a psychological thriller from the writers and producers of "24" and the "X-files". Beth Petty, director of the film division for Charlotte Regional Partnership, admits North Carolina's incentives are not the best in the country, but says it is competitive. "Georgia has a strong incentive program, that is our top competition right now it is Georgia." There's a casting call for all types of extras on Friday, December 10th. It's from four until seven at Plaza Fiesta. Make sure to bring a snap shot. |
