Rapper DMX Treated for Food Poisoning in Gastonia

GASTONIA, N.C.--Rapper DMX was taken to Gaston Memorial Hospital Wednesday after having symptoms of food poisoning.

The hip-hop star tells TMZ.com he began feeling sick after eating some “bad shrimp” shortly before boarding a plane from Miami to Charlotte.

Reports say the rapper starting vomiting on the flight and was immediately taken to the hospital upon landing.

DMX spent several hours receiving treatment in the emergency room before he was sent home to recover.
