TREMONTON, Utah--A teenager is dead after police say he accidentally shot himself with a miniature toy cannon. 

Investigators say the 14-year-old was playing with the toy in his living room when it accidentally went off. 

The teen was pronounced dead at the scene.  Cops are trying to figure out how a projectile got into the cannon. 

Police say the toy cannon is an 18th century replica with a six-inch metal barrel and a wooden base.  Investigators say the toy did not have a shooting mechanism.
