CHARLOTTE, NC- A struggling economy is affecting Charlotte youth sports.  CMS middle schools are barely able to afford their own sports programs and their future remains in doubt.  But with city-wide organizations like the YMCA, Girls on The Run and the Carolinas Baseball Center mentoring young athletes both off and on the field, Charlotte is rebooting the youth sports scene.
