Graduating Could Get Easier in NC

Charlotte, NC-Graduating could get easier for kids in North Carolina. The State legislature has decided to do away with graduation projects. CMS requires the project to graduate, which consists in part of a long paper, extensive research, and an oral presentation before a review board.

The Senate and House have voted not to require it, but many say getting rid of it would be a big mistake.  Kathy Ridge with the non profit group MeckEd says "I don't know why the State would do anything that would lower the quality of graduates from the State of North Carolina."

It's not clear what CMS will do if the State eliminates it as a requirement.
