Need Help to Stop Texting While Driving?CHARLOTTE, NC - Do you need help to stop texting while driving? There’s an app for that. There’s also now an app that lets businesses and government agencies block employees from texting behind the wheel. A new program called CellSafety, developed by Manage Mobility and WebSafety, allows companies to install software that shuts down SMS capabilities on company cell phones when an employee is driving.
The program is similar to consumer apps that you can download on your personal phone. Darya Clien thinks it’s a good idea. “Because it would protect me from me, basically,” she said.
Texting while driving is banned in North Carolina, and more than two dozen other states.
