CHARLOTTE, NC  -  Wilson was on E. 7th Street in Charlotte today as volunteers placed the 2,997 American flags that will be on display for the 10th Annual "Flags of Remembrance" reflective memorial this Sunday, Sept 11th.  Each flag represents a life lost and will have a picture attached of each victim.  Once placed these flags will be displayed in the shape of the Twin Towers.

Wilson talked with volunteers and family members of some of the victims of 9/11 and what this memorial means to them.

The Steven Coakley Foundation is holding the memorial and will encourage the public to come to the "Flags of Remembrance" reflective memorial this Sunday, Sept. 11th at 8:30am. The memorial will consist of the tolling of a bell at times of 8:46, 9:03, 9:45, 10:05, 10:10 & 10:28. Ribbons will be distributed and banners will be on display to sign and share your thoughts.  The event will be held at The Palmer Building, 2601 E 7th Street.
