British Couple Taken into Custody in U.S. Over Family Guy Twitter Posts

LOS ANGELES, C.A.--The U.S. Anti-Terrorism Department took a British couple into custody for Twitter posts written before they got to America.

Leigh Van Bryan tweeted, "Free this week, for quick gossip/prep before I go destroy America."

He sent the tweet to his friend Emily Bunting before the two left for Los Angeles.  U.S. agents saw the Twitter post and took the duo into custody when they got off a plane at LAX.

The couple tried to explain to the agents that "destroy" was slang for getting trashed and partying.

The two were locked up in different cells for 12 hours and interrogated.  Van Bryan also said the agents questioned him about a tweet he posted 3 weeks prior that was quoted from the American TV show Family Guy.

Agents then told the pair they were not allowed in the U.S. and put them on a plane to Paris.

They now have to apply for visas from the US Embassy in London before they can fly to the U.S. again.
